What prompted the post was having to pay $136 each for ignition coils, and the coils for the GM engine are $86; therefore wondering what parts were interchangeable.
As an aside, I fitted one of Justin's billet aluminum "T" junction coolant upgrades to my engine after reading about some people who had suffered sudden catastrophic failure of the original plastic "T" junction, resulting in coolant loss. (Thanks again Justin!)
I drive in the Rockies frequently, miles from anywhere, so I prefer to do preventative maintenance rather than be stranded without car, or cell phone coverage. If just driving and changing your oil regularly (which I also do) waiting for a failure is your thing, then that works for you and jimmy. It doesn't work for me. And I also subscribe to trying to keep parts on hand for the future, so that I can tackle maintenance items as they come up; such as fuel pump replacement, which I will do in the spring before it fails. Again, obviously not your thing. So you do your thing, and respect others who do theirs.
