Interesting discussion which I've talked about with others over the years, power per liter stuff, etc.
I can't help but want to chime in and mention I'd rather be in a Viggen on snowy roads if the choices were a Vette or Viggen, and even though I don't use the hatchback everyday, love the fact that I can get small sofas, etc. into the hatch if needed.
I think I'd also rather be in a Viggen if in an accident rather than a Vette, even with advances in safety, if I HAD to be in an accident.
Maybe I'm wrong but I also think the Viggen has better chances of avoiding an accident than a lot of other stuff on the road.
We've been driving Saabs too many years not to appreciate how many close calls we avoided when others did stupid stuff that we managed to avoid in our Saabs.
Sorry if I am too far off topic here but we still love these cars and fret about what we will drive if we can't keep our fleet on the road easily enough ;)
The Vette owners can keep their extra power, we will keep our hatchbacks.
