Bosch Icons run about $20 each most places, but on EEuroparts site, they quote a $35 "list" price, that they discount to $19. A small shop is very likely to charge you "list" and take the whole markup for themselves. So, while you could have saved yourself money shopping around, they aren't that far off.
As for the labor, what is the shop's hourly rate? No place charges by the minute, it is usually by the hour, with a minimum charge of half an hour or so. $100 per hour for an independent in the northeast US is very common today. On big jobs that go over an hour, they may bill in 6-minute increments (if there is a "book rate" and the shop goes with that), but you're never going to get them to do that for the first hour. $34.50 in labor would therefore be a $69 hourly rate.
If you have the skills, tools, and desire to DIY, then DIY and save some cash. But if you lack one or more of those, then you have to pay someone who does.
