I've got both, and I use both. I read the WIS at my desk, but I take the book out to the garage. The Haynes book is easier to sit next to the car while you are doing something, and the advantage of pictures, even grainy black and white, over the vague Picasso-like drawings in the WIS is also a point in its favor. I also like that they have all the torque limits in one place.
However, I agree that the book's coverage is spotty at best. You have to have the WIS to work on the obscure stuff, and it does cover almost everything.
