I had U-Verse U-200 plus a foreign language channel and AT&T internet with wireless and my last two bills came in at $170 with taxes and associated BS.

Dumping the TV got me down to just AT&T internet and they dropped the price for that to $35/month plus $4 for the wireless. Still a bit high but not by much.

I also dumped all the added BS on my AT&T home landline so now we just have a basic phone with unlimited local calls plus caller ID for $22/mo, down from $55/mo. Want to keep a landline for hardwired 911 capability. That $33/mo savings covers 1/2 my homeowners insurance.

Next, I tackle the cellphone contracts...
