Insurance Office, Arrghhhhh! Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 7 Apr 2014 16:08:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
First of all, I have received terrific service from my local independent insurance agency for the past 30+ years. But the last few days showed even the best can have things go awry sometimes.
I e-mailed my insurance agency late last week asking them to re-start the coverage on the 2000 Viggen 'vert effective April 10th. Our youngest will be in town on the 11th and will need to borrow my 9-5 for a second look at a local medical school where he has been accepted and offered a scholarship. (OK, that last bit has nothing to do with the story but reflects a proud Dad bragging).
No word from the insurance company after my e-mail, co I called today to ask a second time over the phone. The assistant/junior agent assigned to our account collected my information and verified the coverage I desired was for the 2000 Saab. Great.
She quickly provided me with a Certificate of Insurance in pdf format and emailed it to our home in less than one hour. I printed it and was about to place it in the glove box when I noticed the vehicle was identified as a 2000 Saab 9-5, the car I owned for 12 years but sold over two years ago!
So one more time. Lets' try it again.
