I used old motor (or 80w gear) oil for years, sprayed with an old Wagner Power Painter. I then drove down a dusty dirt road for several miles and the dust coated the oil and made a sturdy gooey mess that lasted the winter. The problem with this method was that the application is messy and finally my environmentally conscious side told me to stop doing this. Fluid Film seems good and easy to apply, but I do know some folks from Maine that travel to New Brunswick Canada to get the Rust Check applied. I assume that this is where Snowmobile lives since we don't have it here in the states. One thing that I do know for sure is that nobody will apply any undercoating to your car as well as the owner who will take time to get every nook and cranny.
