Midsommer is a wonderful time to visit Sweden.
Don't know if you'll be getting around much of Sweden itself but, besides Stockholm, there are several nice places in Southern Sweden to visit including Kalmar and Visby (on Gotland).
If you're much more adventurous and have the time, a trip to the far north is worth the time and distance. The light in June up there is amazing (and so are the mosquitos!). I've driven the area and also taken trains. A train loop from Stockholm to Kiruna and then into Narvik (Norway) is beautiful. From Narvik south you'll have to get a bus to Bodo and then get the train from there down to Oslo with a few detours off the main line to see some scenic wonders. Worth doing! If you're into hiking, part of the Kungsleden in Northern Sweden is worth doing too.
FWIW, you can camp pretty much anywhere is Sweden on open land (allemansratten) as long as you don't pig out your campsite or start a fire. If there's a house anywhere nearby, ask for permission first. This lodging arrangement will offset the astonishing cost of visiting Scandinavia.
