That's at my house. We average about 60" per year here.
The snow levels with each storm coming off the ocean vary greatly. In November and December, we had "warm" storms which bring a lot of moisture. That meant that precip fell as rain except on elevations above +/-7000' (Each storm was different, with some raining up to 9000') Most ski resorts around here have base elevations of around 6-6500'. Once January rolled around, we've had very little precip at all, along with above average temperatures. So, while the rain was well ahead of a normal pace through December, we have fallen behind.
Of course, with so little snow in the mountains, the spring runoff will be very small, and it will be done early (May?), not flowing into July or August as we need.
Right now there's precip in the forecast for Sunday-Tuesday, with snow levels around 3500-4500' It won't put much of a dent in the big picture, but anything helps.
Ive mentioned it before, but it is weird to see ski resorts closing up shop because of lack of snow, rather than lack of business. I was skiing at Alpine Meadows yesterday (they usually close after Memorial day) ... here's the view from the chairlift:
