The best situation is to be able to go back to the same technician . Then if you need correction , the "baseline" is already established . Everything changes with different tires , or with wear and tear .
Be very direct , and ask the shop if they work on SAABS . Don't take it there unless they have a reputation with SAAB owners . Somebody will chime in to get you hooked up in your area .
Kind of like going to the same Dentist , they know your teeth . A bad alignment is useless , and plenty of places will take your money . Sometimes I will use a coupon to get a "cheap alignment check " , but I just spend the $49 bucks to get my car on a lift and have an extra opinion .
For safety sake , it is a good idea to have the entire suspension/steering system checked every year , or 30K miles . Those Metro NYC roads are tough on cars .
