That's a reasonable measure of value: is it worth more than a comparable newer used similar market but maybe less interesting car? You may be right that that never happens really even if they do turn a corner. I guess the other potential factor is that SAAB the brand (in terms of cars) is kaput, so there may be some cult factor there that drives prices a little... I suppose we will see! I agree that the c900 should be more of a collector draw, even 10-15 years from now... The c900 has a different character of solidity than the Viggen and comes from a time that was "pre-GM" whereas the newer ones carry a GM stigma, and whether that really matters much in terms of the actual car, it probably has some impact on collectability/price.
