My sister wants a Saab again Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 15 Mar 2016 15:49:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My younger sister owned a 9-3SS with manual for 6 or 7 years. She bought it used and traded it in about 2 years ago in part because her left knee was being bothered by the clutch (she need replacement surgery but refuses to accept her age or the cancellation of running marathons), and also because her mechanic husband only likes working on US brands (maybe his favorite parts store doesn't carry parts for imports).
She stopped by our house on Saturday to pick up my wife for a shopping trip and saw our three Saabs. She longingly glanced at each of then then said, "God, I miss my Saab".
She said her Equinox is a nice vehicle but seems to have no power. I told her to get herself a convertible and drive the Equinox in the winter. I could tell by the look on her face that the gears were already in motion. If I had reactivated the insurance on the Viggen I would have offered her a drive in that!
Now I just need to pepper her email in-box with ads for recent, low mileage, and underpriced Convertibles.
