I did not want to stop driving a Saab for my daily, but I felt bad driving my 9-5 Aero 60 miles each way to work each day.

I mainly was looking for something that would get good gas mileage be reliable, and took regular unleaded. I was debating between a new 4dr Accord MT and a used 2013 Acura TSX MT.

With the 4dr Accord, the nicest trim available with the MT is the EX, which still has cloth and no heated seats. Overall, it wasn't as refined as the TSX either. I also looked at ILX MT, but it was not pleasing at all. The linkage was very clunky feeling, and it felt like it was just a tarted-up Civic.

The TSX I bought is Milano red in the SE trim, which has suede insets in the seats as well as red contrast stitching. It's nice as a daily driver, but every time I get back in my 9-5, it reminds me why the two cars are not on the same level. The 9-5 is eight years older, but it seems like it exceeds the TSX in almost every category.

The main sell for the Acura I'm hoping will be the reliability. Time will tell if that is the case.

I'd be very interested to see what the Jaguar XE with MT turns out to be. That was what I was also considering, but didn't want to wait for it to be released.

Thanks,
Nick
