Re: LED Tail Light Bulbs? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Actually, right now I'm leaning towards standard bulbs. I'm a fan of LEDs (I've changed nearly off of my house lights), but after doing some more net surfing, Saabs seem to have issues with LEDs. Namely, pulsing for a few seconds after turning off the engine, fast turn signal flashes, and the "bulb failure" notice in the SID. Some people add a resistor to the circuit to compensate. I'm also a bit concerned about the beam pattern. A long life standard bulb should last long enough for me (10 years?), but I may try LEDs for the back-up and maybe turn signal lights (anything that the car doesn't check for burned out bulbs).
