Searches are getting me nowhere so I am hoping someone here can help. Older receiver - Denon DRA 635R, it is impossible to find an original replacement for the remote. It's from the 90s so it's not an AV receiver, but from the posts ive read, it's a nice unit, and I do like it. Trying to find a universal replacement remote is very confusing to say the least. I'm only looking for one that will control the basics: motorized volume, on/off and switching between functions, tuner,CD,VDP, ( video disc player ! LOL ) etc. Being as old as it is, will it "learn or teach" the universal to pair up to it? Should I just buy one and try? I'm concerned the store won't accept returns on a remote that won't work. Thanks all!
