I've always been partial to VWs - of the 9 cars my wife & I have owned, 4 have been VWs, 2 Saabs, 2 Subarus & 1 Honda.

I like the VW for the European feel, reliability, torque, price and fuel economy. Plus there's lotsa suspension, brake & wheel upgrades available.

The WRX is interesting as well (wife's car is a 2000 Forester). Super quick, turbo (good as I live at 5400 ft.) and a host of aftermarket goodies sure to come. Plus, Subies are great solid little cars. I can't wait for my dealer to get one in. Only downside is the amount of tickets I'd rack up.
