I simply use the basic FrontPage Express that came with Internet Explorer (on a Windows PC, anyway). I like it because it's simple - not many frills, but a lot of people don't like frills - frills take too long to load on a dialup connection.

Most people would probably say to learn HTML/XHTML code and use a text editor - but that's almost like programming to me, and I don't have the time or patience for that.

As far as my camera, I have an Epson PhotoPC 850Z - which was their top of the line 2.1 Megapixel camera until the 3.1 megapixel came out. I absolutely LOVE this camera. It is more like a traditional SLR 35MM. It has a ton of manual settings, or if you're like me, pretty much a novice, you can put it on fully automatic and point and shoot. There's two other things I like Epsons over a lot of other cameras for: The drivers (as are their printer drivers) excellent! The second is they don't use all those crap icons on the camera that you have to decipher. I have a friend that bought a Kodak DC280 (a highly rated 2 megapixel camera) and the driver (to me) is not too hot, as was the software that came with it. Plus he has no hot shoe (for an external flash) or a threaded lens (that you can add external lenses or enhancers) -- my Epson has both.

I know you may be buying a camera just to put up web pictures, but I'd buy one that's able to print our good pictures, too -- you'll want to once you get it. You'll also want to get a photo printer. I would recommend an Epson, also - great quality photos and great drivers. I have an Epson StylusPHOTO 750.

I know this has been long, but I hope it helps. My digital Camera was the best thing I've bought for my computer. I have used a 35mm in over a year now.

You can check out my simple web page with the link tommorrow. The pictures of my SAABs were taken using my Digital Cameras. The other pictures were scans.
