Tor kept his pristine Hailwood rep Ducati displayed on the showro- om floor for years, 'til he was ordered "from above" to remove it.
Gotta love those corporate uptights! Being a turbo kinda guy, Tor
also owned a very clean Honda CX650 Turbo- one day a gent passing
through Lompoc spied it on the lot and asked how much? It's not up
for sale was the reply but this fellow was adamant. Half flippant-
ly Tor told him bring me a brand new red Ducati 907 and it's yours
OK? That oughta get rid of him! Two weeks later he returns towing
a trailer with a brand new red 907...no joke. Tor owns a black '98
Triumph T595 now. Most of my time spent at this dealer is talking about World Superbike and 500GP.
