Fun in Fontana (Calif. Speedway)

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to drive a new Infiniti Q-45 as well as a BMW 540i at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA.
I drove both vehicles at up to 90 mph or so, with a pro driver in the passenger seat, on staight-a-ways and curves on a special course set up by Infiniti. Needless to say, it was fun. However, while both of these cars were quick (the Infiniti has 340 hp), they were so quiet and vice-free so as to be less than exciting to drive. From what I've heard about the Bimmer, I thought it would be great, but it didn't seem to drive very differently than the Infiniti, which was more luxurious inside. More time at the wheel was needed to really get the feel for these cars, however.
I came away with more respect for my 9-3. I just wish I could have driven it at the track.
A highlight of the day was taking a couple of laps around the banked oval with a professional driver at the wheel of the Infiniti. He got the car up to 130 mph. The G-forces were higher than I expected, and the car hung in there very well.
