I do not understand what is not too deep? If it is a surface scratch I would get some clear coat polish that is not abrasive and try to get out the scratch. If it is deep then it sounds like a paint job. If you want you could probly take it too a quality paint shop and they should give you an their honest impression. Many shops today have detailers their and wetsanding can do wonders on a car. Good luck
