Well, the warranty on that car wil start from time of sale, which means you'll have 4 years from now. So problems in that time frame should be not a huge deal.
Afterweards, you cna extend the warranty to 7 years 100K miles for a non-colossal amount of money. Perhaps you can do this through the dealer and guarantee saab loaners.
You have to balance this against a lexus/acura or whatever. The saab will be cheaper, even with the extended warranty, i'd expect, it's being a '99. It's also more useful and unique. The lexus/acura will be more trouble-free, most likely, and will sell for a chunk more money in several years because it has better resale, and the saab is already 2 years old, etc.
