Dear Apsen Times;
It would have been helpful, at least for us Saab afficionandos, for you to have specified which Saab model your police (which we expect to see in the ads) are using.
Is it the 9-5? The 9-5 Aero model? The 9-5 Aero wagon? The 9-3? The 9-3 SE? Possibly (although unlikely) the Viggen high-performance 9-3? Are they 4-doors, 2 doors? What?
Thanks for running the piece. In addition to the Per Eklund Pike's Peak 2000 Open record and a history of use at Aspen, Saab is developing a solid following in Colorado and the west ....and for good reason. They operate better at altitude than any other marque because their Trionic computer-enhanced fuel system is simply better.
This is not, as most writers have it, a 'quirky' car. This is a better car. Each 'quirk' has a reason but the automotive media refuses to write why each item writers regard as a 'quirk' is there. Ask a Saab engineer and you will get the reasons why. Is the starter-button on a Honda S2000 a 'quirk'? If not, why not?
Cheers;
John A.
