Now, if you bring your car to an inspection station, unless you have AWD you must have your car put onto a dyno! This is for state or private. They've gotten more strict. I passed without a problem though with my old SPG. The fact that the state forced all of these private garages to spend astronomical prices to have these big dynos put into thier floors has driven some guys to stop doing them altogether. This turned out to be very bad for the state now too because thier inspection tests take much longer than they used to and thier inspection stations are so backed up and everyone hates it. I took my car to the Lodi inspection station which is off of Route 17. When I went, the place was dead but I had to let someone drive it down the line onto the dyno. =( Oh well..
Btw, there is also a place in Bergenfield called the Swedish Connection which I hear is good. I dont know if they do inspection.
Later fellas!
