I have my Valentine mounted to the left of the rearview mirror just below the blacked out section of the windshield. I read somewhere that that black coating may lessen the detectors reception. The wire runs across the top of the windshield, wedged in between the glass and the headliner material with small peices of black foam. Remove the passenger side A pillar cover (just pops off) and run wire under there and behind the dash. Now your close enough to the glovebox where the fuse block is. I think you have to remove the glovebox liner to get to the fuseblock. I chose a dummy hot shoe from the block..(check them with a test light) and make sure you have an in line fuse incorporated in your wiring, thats easily accessable if it blows. Works very well...cant see the wire and very difficult to see the detector from the outside of the car...(thieves)...mounted high for both the forward and rearward antenna in the detector, for whatever mounting height matters.
