OK, I'll bite.
1.How is the content of Saab-i "useless" to the end consumer? You are right, personal preference information was collected for the publication but this information was not gathered for customizing the newsletter, but for providing direction to the content. Customization would be nice, but why would you take the time and resources to customize four or five paragraphs?
2.Why would you order from the Saab global website store rather than Saabcatalog.com? Do you go to European or Global versions of U.S. sites to do other shopping online? However, you are right that if you offer e-mail functionality you have to respond quickly to all requests.
3.If the Saab website is like a 3-month old Newsweek, why is the current content in Saab-i useless? Saab-i provides the latest Saab news. And to address your complaint about the website, Saab-i is consistant and frequent - monthly.
Saab's marketing definitely could be improved, but keep in mind that the resources available to Saab are 50 t0 75% lower than the primary competition. This includes money and bodies. It is easy to criticize but difficult to overcome large obstacles with very limited resources.
