Leaks & Seat Belts Posted by Michael [Email] (#1365) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Michael) on Tue, 7 Aug 2001 10:01:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Dear Fellow (and Lady) Saab Owners:
I have an 89 900s (3 door) which has developed a few bugs.
First, when it rains hard I get water in the passenger side floor. I've dried it out several times, closed everything up tight and tried to make it leak by turning the hose on the sun roof, down the fresh air intake and all over the front end and doors but can find a drop. I put the carpet back and after the first rain I have wet carpet again.
Second, the passenger side passive seatbelt has gone whackey. Most of the time it stays in the rearward/locked position. On occassion it will go forward and back when someone is sitting there while the car is moving (as if possessed). Sometimes it will reset itself when I stop and the passenger opens their door, but more often than not it stays in the locked postion and the passenger has to manually unbuckle it. I've check the connections under the seat, they're clean, "dry" and well connected.
I appreciate any suggestions you can give me.
Thanx, Michael
