1st CAR Auto. 130Hp FWD (C-) (GM)
second hand Pontiac Grand Am 3.0L Automatic, was OK
to learn driving but had some real major electrical
problems... sold it a year later. Didn't have much money
in those days... oh well I bought it 1 year old at a huge
discount... cause no one buys this stuff in Europe.
I still think that Auto. cars are good to learn driving.
2nd Car 5spd. 150Hp-180Hp AWD (B+) (Ford)
I then bought a Mazda 323 Turbo 4x4, my First Turbo car
which got me hooked to the Turbo thing. The car was the
best I have ever had on wet roads. It was also great fun
to drive with its 150Hp Turbo engine (later a bit more... chip)
no ABS, no ESC no Airbags... no armor... not a car to have
a crash with. After 2 years and 40000 miles I sold it.
3rd Car: 5spd 192Hp AWD (C-) (Toyota)
Well I got myself a Celica 4x4 Turbo... nice car, very fast
but very unrefined. The 2 channel ABS sucked... the damping
was far too soft... but I kept it as is for 2 years... during
that time it was often in the shop, cause Toyota kept doing
recals on all sorts of stuff. After 2 years I was rather upset
on it...
4th Car: 5spd 177Hp-260Hp AWD (A) (Fiat)
After my rather poor experience with Japanese brakes, dampers
and so... I bought a Lancia Delta HF Integralle... I still
consider this car as the finest sports car money can buy...
provided that you have the patience required with the Italian
electrical system... which always worked... but sometimes did
funny things. around 2600Lbs and 260Hp with AWD, 4 Channel ABS
a realgood AWD system and the best steering there is... I LOVED
this car. After 4 years I sold it to a friend as I needed more
space (Delta is a tiny 4 door compact) and getting new ZR tires
every 3000 miles was not unexpensive, servicing was also expensive.
The 260Hp CHIP and mods never affected the car, which says it all
on the mechanical toughness of the Delta. The worst was...
THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN DRIVE ONE SLOWLY... just too much fun!!!
5th Car: 5spd 192Hp AWD (B-) (Mistu.)
Mitsu. Eclipse Turbo while I was living in L.A.
Good car, excellent handling but too little power (mine was
only fitted with 15 valves...) very BAD brakes and poor
steering. Sold it 2 years later.
6th Car: 5spd 150Hp Mitsu. SUV AWD (F-) (Mitsu.)
Dismal product... only problems all the time... sold
it a year later... bought this cause I git a great deal
on it, but it was CRAP. well it was 6th...
7th Car: Auto. 235Hp RWD (C+) (GM)
Bought a second hand Pontiac Trans AM GTA. 1988 model.
Was great fun, handling was non existant, brakes sucked
but I enjoyed it cause it was fun to drive. When I was
about to sell it for a good price... it good flooded
the same night in my garage... OUCH... after it was
fixed by the insurance company I sold it... at great
loss in value... cause I did not need a car that had
been damaged to such an extend. It took the new owner
another year to get all right... and my insurance
company paid for it... cause when they gave me the
car (fixed) I told em that I did not agree.
8th Car: 5spd 189Hp FWD (B+) (GM)
Opel Vectra (B) Sedan. Car was good, but enegine was
prone to oil leaks... we all know the OPEL 2.5L V6
engine and its numerous problems... (NG900)... I kept
it nearly 5 years... then traded it in....
9th Car: 5spd 240Hp-260Hp FWD (A) (GM)
2000 SAAB 9-5 Aero 5sdp. Love it... Even more with the
goodies I put in...
Regards,
Coolknight
P.S I added some grades so that you get an idea how
I feel about those cars..
