I have a family member who worked in the WTC until last year, now he's in midtown, thank goodness. Today is truly a sad day in our history. I watch the footage and it just looks unreal, like from a movie. So many innocent people had to lose their lives..for what?

-I also cannot believe that people in Palestine were dancing in the streets!....children too...probably brainwashed. Thats just a sickening image. And, this is a major problem, these children will grow up, and they have been influenced by their pathetic parents.

In class today, people were talking quite a bit in class, and cell phones were ringing (Stony Brook U, on Long Island, so obviously a lot of people have some connection to this tragedy). The prof. says to "be quiet about the plane crash or get out" Now, granted, he is trying to do his job and teach. BUT, how insensitive could he be? I bet a lot of students were uncertain if their relatives or friends were safe, and this prof. asks them to be quiet about the "Plane Crash". I just thought he handled the thing so casually, maybe a more appropriate thing for him to say would be : "I know this tragedy may be difficult for some of you,I just ask that you quietly leave class to take cell phone calls, etc."Anyway, classes were finally cancelled at 12:40pm, as our University Hospital is at stage 2 alert.
