Howdy.
Driving back from Saabtoberfest, my wife and I were near York PA and passed by a used Saab dealership. I've never seen so many classic 900's in one place before (even more than at Saabtoberfest!).
There were two convertibles with air flow kits and dozens and dozens of other totally cool Saabs.
In fact there was a full-on Saab race car, complete with the ridiculously huge rear tires and side exhaust. It had a dyno sheet on the dash and (are you ready for this) it said that max HP -- 375!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable. It had a huge roll cage in it and was painted blue and purple (not my style... but it could probably outrun a viper, so much respect for someone willing to do that).
Unrelated, on Sunday I saw a 94 Miata at a dealership and decided to take it for a drive... Goodness, it was awesome. Perfect, just perfect shifter, great exhaust note, amazing shifter, a little on the teeny tiny side but it was great fun to run around in for a bit. Would certainly be an easier car to race and probably do better, but the wife has said no for the time being, so I'll have to see what I can do to get more precise shifting on my '88 SPG and better handling... Jamex springs should help...
