Nice car except for the fact I was friends with the son of the auto editor for the Denver Post. His father told me that in auotomotive circles it was known as the Swedish Joke. It never burst my bubble at the time because I thought I was so "hip", and he was not the small sportscar type of person. In addition I was guilty of commiting the crime of trading my 1969 GT 350 Shelby for the Sonett; but the truth of the matter was that the Saab was a much better car for the twisty canyon roads in the Colorado Mountains. Also I remember that around that era Saab invited him to Sweden to drive 99's in Arctic conditions and that he met Eric Carlson. He also mentioned lots of Vodka & lutefisk during that trip. Oh yum.
