SAAB should produce cars that appeal to a wide range of buyers not just the ever loyal cult. There is a reason the SAAB loyal love their cars, but the trick is to keep those traits and produce a car that appeals to the masses. I think the 9-5 is a good start with that and the new 9-3 will hopefully do it even better. No one is going to argue that the C900 isn't a great car, because it WAS, but it does not have a place in the market today. The NG900/9-3 design is on its way out. Once again the SAAB's goal is to keep the loyal and attract new buyers with the new 9-3 design. Problem is you can't do that 100%. The new 9-3 will piss off some of the loyal SAAB cult. Either way, it appears to me that SAAB is in a better position than Ford. People bitch because SAAB is inheriting some of GM's traits, but I can't image SAAB inheriting some of Ford's traits. Yuk.
