In the first post you stated, "Probably won't be doing that anymore though,". The phrase, "probably won't" is not a definitive statement that you have stopped and will never do so again. The use of the word probably implies while it is very likely you will not there is however enough of a chance that you will that the statement needs to be qualified.
Now in your 2nd post you stated, "I said I don't do that anymore", which is in fact not what you said in the 1st post.
If I had seen a definitive statement to the fact that you don't do this anymore I would have made a special point of saying that I was glad to see that you have grown past it. Lord knows I have pulled some bone headed stunts in my youth and I would no more want to be called out on the carpet for things I had stopped doing years ago than anyone. I also would not want pull up the past for someone else. That you have stopped I am glad to hear only that was not properly conveyed in the first post. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
As for only doing it on "empty" roads? Remember certain actions are inherently dangerous. Playing with hand guns for example, even if the clip is out and the slide is locked back exposing an empty chamber it is still a bad idea.
