First off If Anyone knows how my experiences, skills, and talents could make a positive contribution to the sense of a caring community at the University of Connecticut. Let me know.

I am a high school senior with a B- B avarage 1280 SAT scorers, Eagle scout, Presedent of my local youth group, the student technical director my high schools Theater, blah blah blah. I recently got into the University of Hartford. This was my saftey school so i was not surprised when i got in but what shoked me was the fact that i was put into the Honors program and given 10K a year. I have never made the honor role and do not consider myself an honors student. Why was I put into this program?

I have started to view this entire prosses as a simple game. Give the colleges what they want. Show them that you will go to the school if accempted and truly want to be there. My top choice is Bentley College in Mass. I spoke with there representive at a college fair, when they came to vist my school, I visited the campus, went to the open house, scheduled an interview. Sent back the survey about both the interview and the open house. These are the things that I think make schools accempt students. Last year I had a friend who was second in her class, the most talented actress i have ever seen and a great all around person. She didnot get into any of the schools she applied two. When much lesser students did get in. Colleges want the students they accempt to actuly go to there school. It lookes really bad for a school when only 50% of the sudents they accempt attend the school. They try to weed out people who are simply useing the school as a saftey.

Jeff is it just me or does every adult you talk to always asks about how the college prosses is going. I'm getting so sick of it i am considering makeing a T-Shirt explaning everything.
