I have found some old Saab ads from the 80s that I though were really clever:
1) One car you can buy where your emotions arent compromised by your intellect.
2) Most car accidents happen in the showroom.
3) Test driving a Saab wont just change your mind. It could change your life.
The ads then go on to tell the reader how technologically advanced and safe Saabs were - I used the past tense as the ads are old and we all know this still applies to Saabs in 2002! Saab sold more cars back in the 'good old days' than they do now so I have two points to make -
1) Where have all those folks who bought Saabs in the 80s gone to?
and
2) All this 'artsy-fartsy' advertising may sell a Lexus but it doesnt work for Saab. BMW has sold cars on the technology within for years and look where they are now!
