No I didnt lose anyone or any money. It affected everyone though. I'm from Fairfax, VA, and growing up half my neighbors either worked at the Pentagon or CIA. I'm sure that those in Northern Virginia feel really close to that attack even though right now I'm living in Fredericksburg 50 miles away. My neighbor was on I-395 and saw the plane go over the highway, said it went right over her, before it hit the Pentagon. My parents went over to Arlington Cemetary that afternoon and took some close up pictures before a policeman saw them and chased them off. I still havent gotten around to driving past the Pentagon though Im sure it looks much different now than it did then. I wish I had driven up to NYC to see the ruins before they removed everything. I honestly had been to NYC before when I was a kid but dont have a single recollection about the trade towers until they were blown up (and I remember the incident in '93) but I think most Americans didnt know too much about the twin towers, maybe Im wrong but I think the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Gate Bridge is probably more well known.
