Any chance of fighting NJ speeding tickets?

I've just got a speeding ticket this weekendfor doing 94 in 65 M zone on NJ Turnpike. The trooper clocked me by pacing speedometer. Before knocking me for being stupid and not paying attention, let me first explain the situation. The turnpike is divided into car-only section and truck section by concrete barriers . I was driving in the car-only section was actually paying attention on the surrounding (had my radar on), but then all of the sudden the cop showed up on my rear view mirror and pulled me over. He must have been pacing me on the truck route that's why I didn't see him and he caught up with me through the openning of barriers. However, I'm very sure I didn't do 94. I was probably doing 87-90 at the time (94 was the top of the bracket which leads me to believe that it was an estimate). He also gave me another ticket for improper passing which was a total BS. The fine is $213 for speeding and I don't know how much for improper passing yet.
My friend told me that since I have NY license, the points won't show up on my record. Is this true? If it's true, would I be better off pleading guilty and get it over with? However, I hate to pay $300-400 fine so what my is my chance to fight in court? Do NJ courts give you a choice to plea bargain to reduce fine. Thanks.
