NBA playoffs on TV has lost 20% of its audience since last year. As reported on Sports Center (ESPN) and that is continuing a trend from the previous years.

Frankly, there is little left in most professional sports that draws me at all. Over paid arrogant super pro's that no longer have nothing at all in common with the kid in on the school playground... these pro's used to be our heor, or at least the heros of my sports minded friends, now they are up on their own floor of siciety. There used to be hope that Joe avg could become a pro in most sprts, but today that chance is slime to non-existant.

It seemed to me 30 years ago, that most athletes played the game for love, it seems clear now that they play the game for love of money. Did team owners used to be "fanatics" of the sport and now they are just greedy?

I have seen the begining of one Basketball game this year on TV, although I didn't realy know what it was at first, what with all the WWF announcing and the dramatic music, the light show and the fireworks.... hell, you'd think there was some "spectacular extravaganza" .. perhaps if they pull all the damm hype and bs, lower the salararies they mighyt survive... people have grown up on hype... its lost its appeal... if you can't hold it, smell it and live it, what is it, really?
