If the lot was a secure private dealer lot without public access, you could press them for repairs. If people are coming and going at random, there is no way you can prove how the ding happened. They should not have to pay for Joe Moron opening his Chevy door into your Saab, regardless of where it occurred.
Ask the dealer who does their dent repairs. Here in Seattle, Dent Wizard seems to do a lot of high class cars. They may be able to pop the dent out without hurting the paint, at a very reasonable cost. I had them fix a ding on my Audi, and it was a very satisfactory experience.
