I helped out on the SOC comittee & there is bound to be mistakes. If this is the only problem which occured (besides the 95+ weather) I feel the event was a success. Phil had a ton of things going on & he worked his ass off attempting to make the event go as smoothly as it did especially with the controversy over the formation of the SCNA.

I also feel that your statements on the FREE SPG are completely out of line! It's a FREE car which had thousands of $$$$ of products donated as well as numerous hours of labor. Of coarse the car will not be perfect & neither was yours! The SPG started as a $750 car which needed lots of work & ended up a very nice almost completed SPG. Lots of $$$ & time was donated to the SPG for someone else to enjoy so please give it a rest!!

& to answer your questions, ....

Yes, Yes, No

I spent well over the $4000 you mentioned & I also spent less hours of my time on my 88 SPG. Unfortunantly for me, due to a drive shaft problem I was not able to bring my car to the convention after 4 years of waiting on a motor, staring at a new set of airflow bumpers for 2+ year as well as numerous other pruducts which were sitting in my garage. You were not the only one "bitten" at the event as well as you were not the only person who has spent the last several months/years developing a car for the SOC.

Just simply the color blue will not necessarily win any awards. Hopefully you understand that now!!!

& yes, I am venting as well
