I'd hope a 9-3 handles better than a dull base Impreza with AWD. I'm also quite certain a 9-3 will out handle a 1972 Buick Electra 225 with a RWD layout. I qualified my bashing of FWD with the statement that I was referring to "out on the egde, extreme sports car(s).". That is want the auto media does when they test a car. They push it too it's edge and all other things being equal RWD and AWD have more edge to push than FWD. Things aren't equal tween a 9-3 and a base Impreza or a 72' Duce and a Quarter. They are however dern close to equal tween the 9-3, A4 and 3 series.... so unless the rear wheel steering is all that it won't gather much play in the press. But that is a caveat I alowed in my original post
