Certain parts of the dash were actually kinda high quality--especially the dash surrounding the radio and the radio buttons themselves, they were made out of this type of plastic that was hard, but felt kind of like rubber, but wouldn't actually give way if you pressed them or stuck your finger nail into them. (Now that's a long sentence, apologies for those who don't like run-ons.) It's an interesting material that I could see others disliking, but I happen to like it a lot.

Certain other plastic parts felt cheap to me...the mirror/light combo found on the visors didn't look as solid as the one in my 900. The headliner didn't seem as good quality, and they put this odd material on the armrest which my friend noted probably stains really easily.

jason said he didn't like the emergency brake lever...but i thought it was spiffy. however, if you look at the pix, you see this other plastic thing on the passenger side across from the emergency brake lever, and i can't figure out what it's for--but i kept on playing with it anyway. (see his "center section" picture.) the car we were in had the butterfly cup holders, and we played around with it endlessly. it is a bit odd to push back in (you have to push it in directly with only one finger, and it takes a bit of force to fit back in.) i can't decide if it's a bit stronger or a bit weaker of a design (in terms of holding a heavy cup) than i was expecting. having said all that, not enough cup holders was my friend's assessment.

i was very pleased overall. i can't wait to see the vector with navigation.
