Well, I too thought that color was the thing to keep them apart, but what you need to do is to check the formula on the sticker of the jug. Which is a big problem with Saab products since they don't list the indredients on the bottle or jug. This is the same with motor/transoil as for coolant.
It only says, meet or exceed certain standards.
One thing though in this whole thing. Talking about American,Asian and European blends. That is what the car is filled with coming from that region. The difference in blend is because we have different water quality in different parts of the world.
After the car have been here in the States for a number of years, the coolant may very well have changed to the blend that is most easy to find here.
That still don't make it any easier with color schemes, since they use a pletora of them here.
If the new Saab's are filled with Dex Cool from factory, 2 years at the most is what the guy gave for life span.
It might be that Saab have chosen the Hybrid blend instead, which could still be orange in color. But knowing that Saab is a GM product nowadays it's most likely Dex Cool.
I need to find out quickly.
