Good episode, told us alot about goomars, and it was very interesting when Tony said, "Goomars have status..."

But as for raising devil spawn and what-not, I don't think Tony was really concerned about that (but maybe he was on a subconscious level). It seemed to me that he simply didn't want his "boys" to be near Raphie's "boys" on a long-term basis. He didn't want "sloppy seconds", if you know what I mean... more of a narcissistic thing rather than wanting the best genes for future offspring.

But after Tony found out there was no chance that Cifaretto's "boys" were swimming in Valentina Lake, Tony was more than happy to allow his own boys go for a swim in that very lake!

It was somewhat, I dunno, ironic (for lack of a better term), that on the show at least, Valentina is half-Cuban... The actress who plays Meadow (Tony's daughter), Jamie-Lynn Siegler, is half Cuban! Do what have an Elektra complex here or what? (Elektra complex=daughter+father, similar to Oedipal complex, which is son+mother)

Now as for the illegitimate children of goomars, I think most of the time they're aborted for they're even born, or at best, they're brought up but not "recognized"...

The whole "I know that you know" scene between Tony and Carmela was amusing... all the mob wives know that their husbands have goomars--remember when they were talking about it after Bobby Bacala's wife passed away? They were like, "Bobby really loved her... he was the only one not to have a goomar"... that's when Janice realized she should reel him in.

That was pretty hilarious when she was making iron-on "#1 dad" T-shirts with Bobby's children on the front! Look out, Bobby...

What's going on with Furio? Is he gonna try to kill Tony? I didn't realize how obsessed he was with Carm!
