New Restructing Plan Called "VIGGEN"

The new task force plan in charge of turning things around at Saab is called "VIGGEN".
This awful news is bleeding all over the PR wires, not good for Saab. I honestly had NO IDEA that Saab was in so much trouble. The fact that the all new 9-3SS was extremely expensive to develop was a shock to me. I thought it would be an affordable and efficient program since it is part of GM's Epsilon platform.
The article also stated that Saab loses an average of $4,000 per car sold. With all the incentives Saab has in place, I am not surprised. BMW would be even losing money if they sold their cars significantly below invoice. There is not enough demand for Saab right now. I don't know about that "there is not enough supply to meet 9-3SS demand" right now. Perhaps that is so in Europe, but certainly not here. I drive by a Saab dealer every day on my way to work, and I see the very same 9-3SS sitting there way too long.
Honestly, who wants to spend $28k on a nicely equipped 9-3SS Linear when for that money they can purchase a 260hp G35 instead.
I don't care how awesome the new 9-3SS is, but numbers are part of the marketing game.
This whole problem can be directly blamed on Saab's awful marketing efforts. I mean, are you really going to wind glide using your Saab's trailer hitch???
