I asked they guys about changing intervals, and they used two years, 30K miles as a base.
But keep in mind that dealerships all over the world have different opinions and knowledge, just like the owners and indy shops. So this doesn't mean that everyone have the same schedule.
Take Sweden for instance, (or colder parts of America) most shops might suggest to flush every year to be prepared when winter arrives.
I NEVER saw as many corrosion problems and headgasket leaks back in Sweden as I do here in Los Angeles.
Not that many owners think about the coolant here, since it never freeze over. And the coolant might be in the system for 5 or 6 years before the car have reached another 30K miles.
It's up to the shops to keep the owner reminded of changing schedules.
I would stick with DexCool in all the cars that came with it from factory, until the warranty is out at least. But keep a stringent changing schedule of a maximum of two years,30K miles.
After that it's up to the customer, and we also might have more information at that time.
I do not beleive that the DexCool is gonna wreck havoc through the system (like an Pac Man creature let loose) as long as the flush is done correctly and that "other" shops or car owners doesn't start to mix "whatever" into the system.
Because this coolant don't really like any other types of coolant, and a chemical reaction could be the result.
