Never saw B1942. But make sure in "video options" or similar within the game that you are set to use OpenGL or Direct3D and not Software as a setting.
"Software" setting bypasses all the fancy stuff the Radeon can do and slows things down dramatically.
There may be a setting in the game to turn off "TruForm" which is a fancy ATI feature supported on the 8500 but not the 7500. Some games (eg CounterStrike) turn it on by default when they see an ATI board but the 7500 doesn't support it and goes reaaaallll sllloooooooooow.
