Those look really sweet! I've been thinking about carboard tubes for my next project, how did you go about cutting them and attaching the front panel? Also what did you use to seal where the wood on the top and bottom connects with the tubing?
btw, my last project was a pair of 3cu ft sealed towers (looked like coffins and were heavy as hell) with a pair peerless 8" woofers in an MTM set up with peerless tweeters. I crossed braced the boxes and had madisound design a LEAP crossover for me. The boxes where then wrapped in a wooden veneer which looks good form a distance, but a little cheap up close. Anyway detail was great and bass response was phenominal. They run off of old yamaha amp (1984 or so, in mint condition) with a yamaha cd player. The whole project came out better than I expected but also cost in the mid $300 range (just the speakers). The only downside is that I built them for my girlfriend for her 21st birthday, so I only get to visit them at her house and never get any time alone with them.
