Saab version of Envoy??

Ok, I seriously doubt any Saab SUV would be based on the Envoy, but this appeared in today's Autoextremist.com rants section. Just because the new 9-3 doesn't have a hatch doesn't mean it has lost all Saab character...sheesh:
"GM. This is from one of our regular readers who wishes to remain anonymous: "Any comment on the rumored Saab version of the GMC Envoy? If ever there were a vehicle-brand mismatch or, for that matter, proof that 'Brand Mis-Management' is still alive and well at GM, this is it. And Saab fanatics were livid when the last 900 was an Opel platform with a V6 as the top engine? I say that this has the all the markings to make the Cayenne look like a carefully-considered and executed brand extension." Ouch. All we can add to that is that old-time Saab fanatics/loyalists will probably migrate elsewhere for their motoring pleasure (Peugeot is rumored to be on their way back to the U.S. market - ed.). GM will steadily erode Saab's brand character (except for the console placement of the ignition key, it's already completely gone in the new 9-3), until it's an import-flavored Saturn clone."
