McLaren doesn’t look to bad so far, but I think Ferrari could probably win the championship with the F2002!
Technology is worthless to me if it steels the show away. F1 cars have become so «easy» to drive that young drivers without any open wheel racing experience manage to make it in F1. Bring back the slicks, reduce the aero effects and thank Gawd, get rid of the automated launch systems. Without going «to carburettors and duck tape» (LOL), more emphasis has to go back on driving skills. The way things were going, Sir Frank, Ron Dennis, Jean Todt, Eddy Jordan, Peter Sauber, the colourful Flavio and the rest, might as well have radio controls in the stands and fight it out themselves. In any case, with the growing costs for a winning car, there will not be any F1 left if something is not done.
By selling their souls to the car manufacturers because of their increasing budget demands, the owners have put themselves at a disadvantage strategically. They will have to go where the manufacturers decide to go, and that might very well be in there own Championship. Ah, poor Bernie...poor car racing fans. Not bad for the environment if you want to see something positive.
