Hi,
Is this guy gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Most straight guys like gadgets. For the first half of the write-up,
Dan Neil has glowing praise for our beloved 9-3SS to the detriment of
other popular cars like the H2, "For the Hummer H2, bliss is a nocturnal
crawl past techno dance clubs in the Art Deco district on the shores of
Lake Petroleum." I also have wondered how well those 26" spinning rims
on Escalades and H2's would stand up to off-roading. One mean looking
rock probably will mean four bent rims.
After such glowing praise, the kind Saab has not gotten since C900
and 9000 (9-5 Aero has gotten a little praise), the guy bores us with
his petty complaints about electronic features and thoughtful touches.
He even complained about the computer rightly telling him that one of
his tires needed some more air.
All in all this was a good write-up, but if I were his editor, I would
have cut out the entire second half of his column.
thanks
Jae
